That space, that desire to re-establish space and school community, a belief that the connecting space between the large external and internal sports spaces and the social gathering, viewing areas and path from school entrance, up to the forecourt of the heritage building, could be the heart of the school community.
The intention of the architecture of this simple building is to affirm a physical presence directly on the public space of the street and to mediate the entrance threshold by a small courtyard that also connects to the garden and parking area.
The Falls Road / Bóthar na bhFál – the road of the hedges – is the framed space for the cultural resurgence which provides the cultural and urban context for our design.
